For companies · Custom paths
Custom English courses for companies, built around one team and one goal.
When the team's needs don't fit one box: a mix of paths, a trade fair in three months, a new market, a project kick-off, an international hire to bring up to speed, a merger. Marcus builds the path with you in a free call. A group of 3 to 6 colleagues, the same Cambridge CELTA-qualified MEI tutor every week, and a quote for your group.
Free call. In English, Italian, Spanish or Russian. Camera optional. No sales pitch.
What a custom path is
Our regular paths cover most of what teams need: General English for the base, Presentations & Public Speaking and Negotiations & Sales as workshops with a fixed programme. A custom path is for the cases where one box isn't enough, or where the goal is specific and has a date. It uses the same pieces, the same tutor every week, MyMEI, reports to the company, arranged around what the team has to do.
Some examples of what we build:
- A mix. A sales team that needs General English for half the group and negotiation practice for the other half, or a team that presents and negotiates with the same clients.
- A trade fair or a conference. Three months before the date: the stand, the product in two minutes, questions from visitors, small talk that leads somewhere, follow-up calls afterwards.
- A new market. A team that starts selling, buying or supporting clients in a country where the work runs in English: the vocabulary of the sector, the calls, the meetings, the emails that come with them.
- A project kick-off. An international project with partners or colleagues abroad: meetings in English every week from now on, status updates, disagreeing politely, asking for what you need.
- Onboarding an international hire. A new colleague joining a team that works in English, or a team receiving a colleague who doesn't speak their language: both sides, in the first weeks.
- A merger or a new parent company. Head office now speaks English. Reporting lines, meetings and documents change language, and the team has to follow from day one.
What all of these have in common: a real situation, a real date, and a team that needs the English for it, not English in general. The tutor builds every lesson on that situation, from the first one.
Four steps
How a custom path is built
Step 1
A call with Marcus
A free 15-minute call with the person who organises the training. What does the team have to do in English, and by when? How many people, at what level? When can they meet?
Step 2
The design
Marcus designs the path with you: the goal, the format (a regular path month by month, or a short course with one goal), the number of sessions a week, the tutor. Then he sends a quote for the group.
Step 3
The start
The same MEI tutor, on the same day and at the same time every week, in a fixed slot the whole team keeps. The path can start the week after the call.
Step 4
The check
The tutor and Marcus follow the path and adjust it as the team changes. The company receives regular reports. A regular path has a progress test every 2 months; a short course ends with a certificate.
Formats, reports and invoice
Two formats
A custom path takes one of two shapes. A regular path: 55-minute lessons, one, two or more a week, month by month, with MyMEI, a progress test every 2 months and no fixed end date. It's the shape for a mix of paths, a new market or a merger, where the need lasts. A short course with one goal: a fixed number of sessions before a date, for a trade fair, a conference or a project kick-off. Short courses don't include progress tests; at the end, each participant receives a certificate of attendance, or of the goal reached, shareable on LinkedIn. Marcus proposes the shape in the call; often a short course leads to a regular path afterwards.
Levels and the size of the group
Groups go from 3 to 6 people. Some difference in level inside a group is normal and works. A substantial gap doesn't: in that case we split the team into two smaller groups, each with its own plan. Marcus looks at the levels with you in the first call; there is no test before it.
Reports to the company
The company receives regular reports: attendance, how the course is going, and each participant's progress. Everyone knows this before the first lesson. For a short course, the report says how close the team is to the goal; for a regular path, it includes the progress by skill from the test every 2 months.
Invoice and payment
A regular company invoice, paid in advance: monthly or quarterly for a regular path, for the whole course for a short one, as agreed in the quote. A group may bring together professionals from different companies with the same goal; each company or professional receives their own invoice.
One person, or two
Under 3 people, a custom path runs as individual lessons at €35 per lesson, or as paired lessons with a colleague at €24 per person, per lesson, with the same goal and the same tutor every week.
One team, one goal, one tutor every week.

Questions about custom paths
When is a custom path the right choice?
When the need doesn't fit one of the regular paths: a mix of two paths, a specific goal with a date, like a trade fair or a project kick-off, or a situation that changes the team's English, like a new market, an international hire or a merger. If you're not sure, say it in the first call: Marcus often suggests a regular path when it does the job.
How is the path designed?
In the free 15-minute call with Marcus, and in a short exchange afterwards if needed. He defines the goal, the format, the number of sessions a week and the tutor, and sends a quote. The tutor adjusts the plan as the team changes; the company sees it in the reports.
How much does it cost?
A quote for each group, after the first call: it depends on the size of the group, the format and the number of sessions. The company pays in advance, with a regular company invoice. The two workshops with a fixed programme, Presentations & Public Speaking and Negotiations & Sales, have public prices on their pages.
Is there a certificate?
For a short course with one goal, yes: each participant receives a certificate of attendance, or of the goal reached, at the end, shareable on LinkedIn. Short courses don't include progress tests. A regular path has the progress test every 2 months and the reports instead.
How soon can we start?
Usually the week after the call, depending on the team's calendar and the tutor's slots. For a short course before a date, say the date in the call: it decides how many sessions a week make sense.
Can people from different companies join the same path?
Yes, when they share the goal and the levels are similar: a group of 3 to 6 people. Each company or professional receives their own invoice. A professional without a company can take part when the course is invoiced to their business.
