I was looking for a course that would help me improve, not just complete "lessons"… and I can confirm I found it. The professionalism and attention are at the highest level, always, from the very first lesson and without any drop. The attention to detail is very high, but it never gets in the way of learning. The enthusiasm deserves a special mention: I always found myself involved and motivated. Very often I came across what I had just learned in films, books, work discussions and so on. So I'm extremely satisfied.

Helpfulness, courtesy, wit and professionalism set them apart.

For work reasons, I decided to brush up my English, which I had left aside for a long time. The professionalism and attention to detail of Marcus and his colleagues meant that, in a short time, I managed to get back the technical points and the little confidence in spoken English that I had lost long ago. The lessons are designed so that students of any level can learn the language as well as possible, seriously and dynamically, and on specific request the lesson is also adapted to your particular needs (business English, in my case). After several attempts with different teachers, I can say that Marcus and his team are excellent teachers, able to teach the English language. I strongly recommend them.

Consiglio fortemente.
9 months with Marco English, a wonderful experience. Also, I think the service is incredible, because you get individual tutoring but with the services of a school: with an online Student Area […]. I've had lessons with two of the tutors, and both are so good and pleasant that a lesson is always a pleasure, never a chore: despite this lightness, every single lesson is always very productive and you can see the results! More than recommended!

I met Marco for an introductory chat because I wanted to get back to my English (very "school English", even though I'm 35 and have tried several times to get comfortable with this language). He made a great impression on me straight away: approachable, straightforward, professional. He pointed me towards the best option for me, and so I started individual lessons with one of the teachers on his team, F. Beyond her professional skills (she's really very good!), I don't think I've ever felt so at ease with a teacher, or so free to make mistakes (and learn). The lessons are at my level: just the right amount of difficult. The costs and payment terms are clear and easy to understand. I also found the way the lesson schedule is set up very practical: it's flexible, not rigidly binding, but at the same time I feel I've made a commitment, so I tend to take the lessons seriously. I'm happy with my choice and I recommend it to anyone who is a bit insecure but motivated, like me :)

M. is bursting with good humour. Like few teachers, he manages to connect with the learner and pass on his passion for the language he loves.

It's not always easy to choose an online teacher and put yourself in their hands, trusting only your instinct. But with M. it was a completely different story. I started recently, but right from the start I felt he would be the perfect teacher for me. As well as being super helpful and professional, he knows how to put you at ease, and those sixty minutes fly by. Where these reviews come from
Every review on this page comes from one of our two public profiles, on Trustpilot and on Superprof. The ratings and the counts at the top of the page come from the same profiles, and we update them when new reviews arrive.
Our students write in different languages. We translate every review into the language of this page, as faithfully as we can, and we say so. Languages are our work, and we know a nuance or a turn of phrase can shift from one language to another: that's why the original is always there, under the review.
How we quote them
- We don't correct or rewrite what students say: the originals stay exactly as they were written.
- Long reviews are shortened at the end of a sentence, and the cut is marked with […].
- Reviews written in another language are translated by the MEI team and marked as translations, with the original under each one.
- Students appear by first name, tutors by initial.
What the reviews talk about
The reviews above mention the things MEI is built on: a weekly appointment that becomes part of your routine, a team that follows you, and MyMEI, the student area where you find your materials, your progress and your mistakes. To see how these pieces work together, read how MEI lessons work.
