The Crow’s Post

Since 2017, The Crow’s Post has been delivering cynicism, questionable advice, and the occasional English tip. Helping you become a better speaker… and a slightly worse human being.

Meet Eric.

Eric is MEI’s resident mascot, newsletter editor, self-appointed cultural attaché, and full-time HR nightmare. Picture a politically incorrect, razor-smart crow with a PhD in cynicism and the attention span of a caffeinated philosopher — that’s him on a good day.

He dishes out English tips, digs up learning resources, comments on news from the English-speaking world, and occasionally spirals into some dangerously creative lateral thinking that makes everyone else in the team nervous.
In 2025 he disappeared for a few months, thanks to the London Metropolitan Police and charges for “aggravated assault”. Eric insists it was just “a minor inconvenience involving a couple of rude tourists and his beak firmly on their faces.” Tomato, tomahto.

Nevertheless, he’s back, he’s loud, and he’s ready to spread knowledge, chaos, and unsolicited opinions — all with that charming crow arrogance you didn’t ask for but somehow can’t stop reading.

What does this crazy bird bring to the table?

Tips, resources and madness

Look, Eric doesn’t show up just to air his resentment, pick fights, and remind us all why HR keeps antacids in bulk. Beneath the attitude there’s an annoyingly brilliant mind, and he actually contributes… most days.
Here’s what you can generally expect:
